Artist Statement: Feed Me Greedy Earthlings

This globe takes inspiration from the play Little Shop of Horrors.  Excessively large alien creatures in the disguise of plants cover the globe and they greedily cry out “Feed Me…Feed Me” as they gobble up the earth’s resources. What is in store for us in our future?  Will greed cause our demise?

ARTIST

Ronnie Swire Siegel

MATERIALS

This open steel framework of welded metal flowers was repurposed, modified, and painted.  The globe is 4″ in diameter.
